After 10 years of doing this whole *plus size influencer* thing I continuously forget that you have to constantly re-introduce yourself. That your audience is always turning over. That you aren’t just hanging out with your friends who know everything about you already.
Corissa, do you want to share something with us?
I do, friends! Thank you for asking! For a very long time I’ve run Fatgirlflow.com - a plus size resource for clothing and furniture. It has been the foundation of my career on social media for 10 years. I am really proud of it, and in the past I’ve felt such pride knowing that I created all these resources for people that were then shown to them as google results. Unfortunately AI has basically stolen every websites hard work and pawned it off as their own, so now we’re just shown very specific AI results and not websites from real people. BUMMER, right?
I could talk all day about the downsides of AI, but instead I will just show you what I’ve made recently and hope you enjoy it. Because I think these resources are still pretty cool and useful.
Less fun, still important updates…
This week we found out our sweet Petty girl (that’s her on the left) has Lymphoma. I’m going to probably talk a lot about this on my social media and try to spare ya’ll most of the details because quite frankly documenting your dogs cancer treatments just sounds really unfun and I think maybe we don’t all need to share in that grief right now. I can hold this one with J and our friends and family.
However, I do plan on promoting my Substack a little bit more while she’s going through treatment. Just to get her cancer looked at by an oncologist and have it assessed and given a “stage” is $2500. So your girl is going to be hustling this here Substack because momma’s gotta baby to take care of!
I would LOVE to start an advice type thing maybe once a month? But that requires people thinking I’m even worthy of giving advice - are we there yet? Is this something ya’ll would be interested in? If so, you can send me your questions to Corissa@fatgirlflow.com - I won’t share your name when publishing the question so it will be anonymous.
Sorry this week’s email is a little all over the place! Love you!
Stay fat <3,
Corissa
